A soft, shimmery neutral palette captures the changing light throughout the day, creating a multi-sensory experience that the homeowners adore.

“The way we situated the house is pretty spectacular, but it took a lot of site sculpting gymnastics” says Andrew Kotchen. “We had to chip away  about 500 tons of granite” As a result, the home appears to cascade down the site, with each bright, airy space wide open to the views and effortless connected to the exterior. At once modern and familiar, the team employed traditional elements common to the area to a modern architectural language to create a home that is perfectly of its place and time.
