Two Workshop/APD employees have recently been promoted to top roles, marking an expansion, as well, of the firm’s female leadership.  Nicole Ficano has been promoted to Design Director, Interiors at Workshop/APD. Formerly a Senior Designer overseeing luxury residential projects within the firm’s Interiors group, Ficano will lead Workshop/APD’s second – and newly formed – interior design studio in her new position. A seasoned designer with nearly a decade of experience at top NY firms, Ficano’s recent work includes interior design for a modernist Florida home, a serene, layered pied-a-terre at 70 Vestry, and an 146’ yacht.

Irem Cabbaroğlu, Assoc. AIA was promoted to Senior Project Manager, Workshop/APD. A seven-year veteran of the firm, the Izmir, Turkey native is known for creative, thoughtful solutions to complex design challenges and meticulously detailed designs. Cabbaroğlu brings diverse experience across a wide range of luxury residential, high-end development and social living projects to Workshop/APD’s senior leadership team, overseeing a group of NYC and Minneapolis-based architectural designers alongside Managing Director Zachary Helmers.
