In the Workshop: 2025 Personnel Updates

On the heels of our 25th anniversary, Workshop/APD is looking to the future with the elevation of our next generation of leadership. Andrew Kline, Nicole Ficano, and Jonah Kaplan have been named principals, highlighting their extraordinary contributions to the firm’s strategic growth and award-winning portfolio of work. Longtime leaders J. Tyler Marshall AIA and Michael Luft Weissberg AIA have also been named associate principals.

Andrew Kline, Principal

Andrew Kline, an eight-year veteran of Workshop/APD, leads a multidisciplinary studio working across residential and hospitality projects, and heads the firm’s product design studio. With years of practice in both interior design and architecture, he brings unique perspective to complex, holistic designs at every scale. His passion for storytelling yields highly experiential designs, captivating clients and guests alike.

Nicole Ficano, Principal – Interiors

A seasoned interior designer who has applied her talents to luxury residences in North America and abroad, Nicole Ficano has worked to build Workshop/APD’s residential interiors practice over the past five years and has been instrumental in the growth of our furniture offering, Workshop Collection. She is passionate about craftsmanship, one-of-a-kind details, and spaces uniquely tailored to her clients’ needs and desires.

Jonah Kaplan, Principal – Business Development

Often the first point of contact for clients and collaborators, Jonah Kaplan has provided strategic counsel and extraordinary client experience at Workshop/APD for nearly seven years. His work in business development has been instrumental in the firm’s exponential, intentional growth, helping to expand our verticals and territories and secure dream opportunities for the team to apply its creative vision.

J. Tyler Marshall AIA & Michael Luft-Weissberg AIA, Associate Principals

Two longtime studio leaders and Managing Directors have been promoted to Associate Principal. J. Tyler Marshall, thanks to a background in both architecture and engineering, is known for skillfully managing every aspect of a ground-up project and has realized a number of our most complex residences to date in his 18 years at the firm. In nearly a decade at the Workshop/APD, Michael Luft-Weissberg has overseen the day-to-day coordination on countless complex projects, expressing a passion for construction and technical beauty and creative solutions to complex challenges.

Additionally, Director of Marketing & Public Relations Lisa Jasper has been promoted to Senior Associate, and Colin Murtaugh, previously a Senior Project Manager, Associate, has been promoted to Managing Director, Associate.
